From supply chain disruptions to harvesting and procurement challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for continuity and stability in our food systems in North Carolina. Please join UNC School of Government, Community Food Strategies, NC Association of County Commissioners, and the NC Pandemic Recovery Office for this webinar, which will provide elected officials, managers, and others in the public and nonprofit communities an opportunity to learn about food system resiliency strategies under way in North Carolina. The session will focus on how American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) local funds can be used to respond to food system challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also hear from local partners about their on-the-ground food system resiliency work and answer questions from attendees.
Speakers will include Ronnie Smith, 2020-21 NCACC President and Martin County Board Chair; Rick Morse of the UNC School of Government; and Jared Cates of Carolina Farm Stewardship.
