Description

TOWN MANAGER-ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C., population 3,404, is seeking qualified candidates for the Town Manager position. A progressive, vibrant town located in Southeastern North Carolina is a full-service town and has 51 full-time employees with an operational budget of $6 million. The Town of Elizabethtown is a Council-Manager form of government and is overseen by a Mayor and six (6) Town Council Members.

Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

Requirements are minimum 5 years local government/management experience, Bachelor’s Degree and MPA or MBA or equivalent degree preferred. The preferred candidate will be a strategic-thinking individual and visionary with strong management/supervisory skills, and a commitment to proactively marketing and growing Elizabethtown. The candidate will possess the ability to relate to elected officials, Town staff, citizens, and the business community. Prefer candidate with International City/County Management Association (ICMA) credentials.
