Project Analyst
Description
Franklin County Manager’s Office is currently recruiting for the position of Project Analyst. An employee in this classification is responsible for new projects and for supporting existing projects identified by the County Management staff. Duties include organizing and retrieving information, researching process, policies, legislation, statutes, and ordinances; analyzing critical data needed for decision making; preparing summaries and information for use in decision making; and presenting information in understandable formats. A person in this position will be expected to work with all levels of the organization in researching and gathering information, as well as communicating with supporting and outside organizations who are stakeholders and resources for project completion. Spreadsheets, databases, multi-media presentations, and financial analysis will be integral in the compilation and presentation of information. Critical analysis, innovative thinking, and strategic planning will be necessary skills for success in this position. This is professional work which includes problem solving and decision making. Independent judgment is exercised in performing duties which include identifying issues, ability to develop and articulate presentations of facts and support conclusions and recommendations. Work is performed under the general supervision of the County Manager and is reviewed through observation of results obtained, conferences, and periodic reports or evaluations.

Salary
Hiring Salary Range: $61,000 – $67,100
Position Salary Range: $61,000 – $94,551
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Public or Business Administration, or a related field, preferably with some responsible experience in project management or project analysis, or in an appropriate area of specialization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Familiarity and work experience with project management software preferred. Some knowledge of County demographics would be preferable.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License upon hire.
Must be willing to complete identified subject matter training offered through the UNC School of Government or other entities.
