Elections Director – Rockingham County
Description
Performs complex administrative work directing the registration, voting and election activities for the County, advising candidates, preparing and maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Board of Elections. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department. Manages the Board of Elections office; oversees daily operations of the office; oversees the retention of office records; ensures that all records are properly maintained according to the records retention schedule; purchases supplies and materials needed for office and election operations.

$59,912.43
Qualifications
Associates/Technical degree with coursework in business administration, management, or related field and considerable experience in conducting governmental elections including some supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Possession of Notary Public license. Obtain North Carolina Elections Administrator certification within three years. Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina. Possession of Multi-partisan assistance team and North Carolina Association of Directors of Elections certifications.
