Director Human Resources

Director of Human Resources for County Government. Performs complex professional work planning, organizing, directing and developing various human resources functions including, but not limited to, administration of wage and salary programs, oversight of safety and risk management programs, benefits administration, legal and regulatory compliance, organizational development, and HRIS administration. Coordinates activities with the County Manager and other departments, maintaining records, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work involves interpretation and application of policies as set forth in the Human Resources Resolution and as directed by the County Manager.  Supervision is exercised over all personnel within the Human Resources Department.   The following knowledge, skills and/or abilities are representative of those required of this position. 

Based on Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree with coursework in human resources, business management, or related field and ten or more years' experience working in human resources with a minimum of five years of direct supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and management/supervisory experience with a proven record of employee relations accomplishments.
