COUNTY MANAGER
Description
The County of Martin Board of Commissioners are seeking an executive level leader to serve as their next County Manager. The incumbent will proviede strategic direction to County operations and use innovative approaches to achieve Martin County goals set forth by the Board. For this incumbent to be successful, he/she must have effective communications skills and have dynamic interpersonal skills to build and maintain internal and external relationships. Martin County is seeking someone who values accountability, shares and models its core values to ensure efforts support a high quality of life for its residents. Work is performed under the general direction of the Board of County Commissioners.
Salary
Salary depending on experience with up to a 6% increase upon satisfactory completion of six (6) months probationary period.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, with a major in public administration, or related field and considerable broad management experience with a public sector organization, with a strong preference for local governement management experience. Preferably ICMA Credential. Work experience minimum of 5 years progressive responsible experience in county or municipal government at an executive level. Must be willing to relocate within six (6) months.
