Consolidated Human Services Director
Description
Carteret County Government is searching for a Consolidated Human Services Director to lead the Social Services and Health Departments. This key role oversees the Deputy Directors at each facility and is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and directing the agency internal operations. The Director will work toward a unified implementation of Public Health and Social Services operations which include but are not limited to program implementation, supervision and responsibility for fiscal, human resources, strategic planning and intergovernmental relations functions. This position supervises and manages all agency functions with direct administrative supervision of department managers and deputy directors. Work requires an extensive understanding of organizational development, human behavior and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college or university with an advanced degree in social services, public health, business administration, or a closely related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible supervisory or administrative experience in human services or public health, including responsibilities for fiscal management, personnel administration, and program development. A Master's degree in public health, social services, business or public administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of the six (6) years required supervisory experience. Candidates will be evaluated based on their qualifications and career history presented through their submittal of a comprehensive package of information outlining career highlights and notable achievements.
