The City Manager will be responsible for professional management of the City with 58 full-time and part-time employees, general fund budget of approximately $5.5 million, and water and sewer fund budget of approximately $2.9 million. The City Manager must be actively engaged with the community and its businesses. Candidates must have the ability to relate well to the community and have the ability to partner with an engaged council to carry out the strategic priorities of the City.
The hiring range is $101,000 to $140,000, depending upon qualifications and experience, with a full benefits package.
The position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation with a bachelor’s degree or masters’ degree (preferred) in public administration, business management, civil engineering, or a related field and considerable municipal management experience.
The City Manager is required to live within the City of Raeford within twelve (12) months of hire.
