Person County Government is currently seeking candidates for the Chief Financial Officer position within the Finance Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage the County's financial operations, including budgeting, investments, debt management, and financial reporting systems. Salary

$97,813.00 - $152,861.00 Annually

The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Public Administration or related discipline.
  • Eight (8) years of public finance administration, accounting or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Special Certifications and Licenses

 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Master’s degree and a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) or Certified Public Finance Officer designation preferred.
