Assessor – Dorchester County, SC
Description
The Assessor plans, supervises and directs the operations of the Assessor's Office charged with ensuring all County real estate is identified, mapped, appraised and assessed at the proper ratio in accordance with state law. The position plans, organizes and implements programs within major organizational policies; reports program progress to executive-level administration through reports and conferences.
The Assessor will develop and implement departmental policies, procedures and work standards. Plan and implement a County-wide reassessment every five years and maintain knowledge of current and pending legislation affecting appraisal policies. Recommends changes in County policy and procedures as appropriate.
Salary
$67,846.24 - $88,199.87
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, real estate or closely related field. Requires at least five (5) years of related work experience
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must possess state certification as a licensed property appraiser.
