NCACC, NC DHHS and the NC Department of Justice are partnering on a semimonthly webinar series that will provide information and resources on evidence-based, high-impact strategies that local governments may pursue to address the opioid epidemic utilizing funds from the national litigation settlement.
This session will address the vital role first responders play in curbing the opioid epidemic through Post-Overdose Response Teams (PORTs). The webinar will include an overview of PORTs and highlight community-led efforts to meaningfully engage with people who have experienced overdose and link the patient with appropriate care ranging from harm reduction services to treatment to recovery supports.
