Join us for special programming dedicated to NCACC President Johnnie Carswell’s initiative, One More Thing, which focuses on combating the opioid overdose crisis. Hear from experts, practitioners, individuals with lived experience, and county officials as they share insights on strategic utilization of opioid settlement funds to save lives.
Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 2-5 p.m.
General sessions include an overview of the opioid litigation settlements, as well as panels highlighting peer support specialists and the importance of collaborative strategic planning. Dynamic speakers bring this work to life through storytelling and shared personal experience that showcase the impact of collaborative efforts in overdose prevention and recovery support.
Thursday, Aug. 8, from 8-11:15 a.m.
Breakout sessions offer detailed presentations of the 12 strategies under the memorandum of agreement (MOA) including county programs, medical experts and community based organizations implementing programs in North Carolina.
