U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance
The U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance (GPA) is a cooperative purchasing program offering local governments access to nationally solicited contracts that provide significant reductions in price and guaranteed delivery features. U.S. Communities offers counties, cities, special districts, schools and nonprofits access to competitively solicited contracts that provide the best local government pricing available with no participation fees.

U.S. Communities participants expand, enhance service contracts (January 2008)
Los Angeles County (Calif.) and Graybar Electric Company, Inc. have agreed on a new and expanded U.S. Communities Electrical Supplies contract, resulting in a broader selection of products with the addition of 100 new manufacturers and a list of specialized services for public agency customers
U.S. Communities makes custom promotional products available (May 2006)
Customized apparel and promotional products are now available through the U.S. Communities’ Office and School Supplies contract awarded to Office Depot. Counties and agencies that participate in U.S. Communities will receive an additional discount of 10 percent off all promotional products in the catalog, except for golf equipment, which is discounted at 5 percent.
U.S. Communities brings homeland security offering into the fold (February 2006)
The NACo-sponsored U.S. Communities program has recently announced the completion of a new contract for homeland security products and solutions. U.S. Communities worked with Fairfax County, Va., and several other local government agencies to establish a contract to provide homeland security equipment to local governments.
