Why should my county consider subscribing to Grants Locator?
Users can set up their county's project parameters in Grants Locator, which will then e-mail the county when grants are available, drastically cutting down search time and allowing users to submit grant applications in half the time. Beginning July 1, 2006, state grants were included in Grants Locator, complimenting federal and foundation grants information that is updated on a daily basis. The service provides access to previously funded applications, live toll-free assistance and online training. A demonstration is available at www.ecivis.com/indexFlash.cfm.

What other counties are utilizing Grants Locator?
Ten North Carolina counties – Chatham, Currituck, Dare, Franklin, Guilford, Harnett, Haywood, Hoke, Mecklenburg and Wayne – are currently eCivis clients. More than 500 local governments across the nation, serving over 85 million citizens, use eCivis services.

How much does an annual subscription cost?
Counties are eligible to receive a discounted rate on the Grants Locator subscription service, as well as other services such as onsite training courses, through a partnership between eCivis and the NCACC. Contact eCivis to obtain a quote for your local government.

Federal grant dollars on the rise in 2007 (February 2007)

Leadership of the 110th Congress was expected to adopt a continuing resolution for the remainder of the budget year, without earmarks. While agencies will have level funding from 2006, most of the funds previously assigned by Congress to specific projects will not be earmarked for those projects. Project funding will be proposed by agencies themselves.
