Pamlico’s Ann Holton named chair of RMP Board

Pamlico County Commissioner Ann Holton has been appointed to serve as chair of the Board of Trustees for the NCACC’s Risk Management Pools (RMP) for 2008. Holton has also been named to the NCACC Board of Directors as the RMP representative.

“Ann was chosen to this important and prestigious post because of her demonstrated leadership ability and because of her commitment to counties,” said NCACC Executive Director David F. Thompson.

Holton has served as an at-large member of the Pamlico County Board of Commissioners since 2002. She served as board chair in 2005-06 and 2006-07. She was originally appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees in December 2006.

The 21-member Board of Trustees serves as the governing body for all three Risk Management Pools. Members of the Board of Trustees represent a county that participates in at least one of the three pools.
