Education & Resources
Opportunities
A core function of the association is to provide educational opportunities to meet the needs of its members – county commissioners and appointed county staff. The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) provides county-related education at conferences, meetings and events and through online resources utilizing our knowledgeable staff, experts from partner organizations such as the School of Government at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and other private and nonprofit leaders.
These educational offerings play a part in realizing the association’s five strategic goals – particularly strengthening county leadership and board development.
Partners
The NCACC also partners with the School of Government and the North Carolina League of Municipalities to provide a recognition program through the
Local Elected Leaders Academy (LELA). Participants in the LELA Recognition Program who complete specified courses and hours of attendance are recognized at the NCACC
Annual Conference.
