  • The beginning of December marked an unofficial "halfway point" between the end of the 2011 legislative long session and the beginning of the 2012 short session on May 16. It was also prime time for the Association to consider any "course corrections" for legislative goals in advance of the short session, and the NCACC Legislative Goals Committee met Nov. 16 in Raleigh to do just that.

The General Assembly convened for two mini-sessions in November. Two additional three-day sessions are scheduled for Feb. 16-18 and April 23-25 prior to the start of the short session. For a schedule of bill deadlines for 2012, visit www.ncacc.org/meetings.htm#ga.
