The NCACC will host its annual County Assembly Day on Wednesday, May 30. County officials from across North Carolina will convene on the state capitol for an update on priority legislative issues and to meet with their local delegation. Speaker of the House Thom Tillis and Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger have been invited to address attendees during the morning session, which will also include a review of the political landscape.

By attending County Assembly Day, elected officials earn three credits toward recognition for their commitment to lifelong learning through the LELA (Local Elected Leaders Academy) Recognition Program. Through LELA, the NCACC and School of Government have established for individual county commissioners a three-level recognition program that will help the Association achieve one of its strategic goals, "strengthen county leadership and board development."
A networking lunch will be provided.
