    The Association celebrates its 113th Annual Conference with a ceremonial opening, followed by a General Session that focuses on creating pathways for disconnected youth – young people ages 16-19 who are neither working nor in school.

  2. 113th Annual Conference: Day 2

    August 6, 2020, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Virtual

    Hour-long concurrent sessions held at 8:30 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. include four sessions held over two blocks of time. All sessions will be recorded and posted for on-demand viewing. The Business Session will focus on elections for NCACC leadership positions, notably NCACC Second Vice President, as well as North Carolina’s NACo Board of Directors seat No. 3.

  3. Opioid Response Project Virtual Forum

    This online public forum will share lessons from the 10 communities that participated in the Opioid Response Project about how they applied the collective impact model to mitigate the opioid epidemic in their communities using various strategies. Consider whether your community would like to pursue similar strategies and apply the collective impact model to the opioid epidemic or other complex challenges.

  4. 113th Annual Conference: Day 3

    We begin the day with a General Session that features Clay Jenkinson, a presidential historian and author who served as the major humanities commentator on Ken Burns’ 1997 documentary on the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. The LGFCU Innovation Hour at 4 p.m. showcases award-winning, county-developed programs that demonstrate innovative solutions to county needs.

    Following a General Session (keynote speaker TBA) from 9 - 10:15 a.m., we celebrate the presidential term of Yadkin County Chair Kevin Austin, and look forward to a year of leadership from incoming president Ronnie Smith of Martin County and the 2020-21 Executive Committee with a ceremonial conclusion to the 113th Annual Conference from 10:30 - 11 a.m.
