Scholarship fund to honor Aycock’s legacy

Ron Aycock spent more than half his life working for and representing counties and local governments in North Carolina. No single honor can adequately reflect the legacy that he left behind, but an idea conceived by former NCACC Deputy Director Ed Regan will ensure that Aycock’s contributions to N.C. local governments will not be forgotten.
The NCACC and the School of Government have established the C. Ronald Aycock Public Administration Scholarship fund. The annual scholarship will benefit a student in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s MPA program who has shown an interest in working for local governments within the Tar Heel state.
So far, more than $63,000 has been raised for the scholarship fund at the School of Government, including donations by more than 30 county governments. It is not too late to contribute. Contributions will be accepted via mail or, if using a credit card, by fax. Make checks payable to the SOG Foundation — Aycock #0527 and send to:
