Constitutional duties for NCACC First and Second Vice Presidents

Section 3, Article IV. First and Second Vice Presidents. The First and Second Vice Presidents shall consult with, counsel and advise the President. In the absence or disability of the President and President Elect, the duties of the President shall be performed successively by the First and Second Vice Presidents.

Cumberland County Commissioner Kenneth Edge was sworn in as Second Vice President of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) on Saturday, Aug. 29, during the Association’s 102nd Annual Conference, which was held in Catawba County.

As NCACC Second Vice President, Edge will work closely with the other members of the NCACC Executive Committee to guide the NCACC Board of Directors on legislative and administrative issues affecting counties throughout the year.

Edge has served as a Cumberland County commissioner since 2000 and served as chairman in 2007. He most recently served as an At-Large Director on the NCACC Board for 2008-09.
